Are you looking for front porch ideas for the winter months? When winter arrives, most of us tend to spend less time on our porches.
Unless you live in a warm climate or have a three-season or four-season porch, the days of leisurely swinging on the front porch are over until spring arrives.
But did you know that even in the winter months your porch can be an appealing and inviting place? Splash curb appeal all over your home regardless of the season.
First, do yourself a favor and get your porch ready for winter. Before freezing temperatures set in, sweep and wash down your porch, clearing the cobwebs and dust. Clean and put away your seasonal outdoor furniture until spring. Winter’s cold temperatures and dry air can be harsh on your furniture.
On a reasonably warm day, wash your outdoor furniture with a soft brush and a warm bucket of mild sudsy water. Rinse well with your hose and allow to fully dry before covering and storing. Furniture covers are helpful for off-season. But a bare porch for winter? Hardly!
